Apply for the Inaugural State Leadership Executive Team!

CBFNC is excited to announce the formation of collegiate state-level leadership through the creation of a new Executive Team. Applications are currently open for all Executive Team positions. Applications are still being accepted at this time.

Please note, all applicants will need to provide information for two character references, as well as information for their Campus Ministry representative.

Non-Elected Positions:
​Committees and the State Leadership Representative Council

In addition to the open executive positons, there are also opportunites to serve in non-elected positions on the following Committees:
  •  Issue Engagement,
  • Service Engagement,
  • Alumni Engagement,
  • Public Relations, 
  • Spritiual Formation. 

Students can also serve on the State Leadership Representative Council upon recommendation from their local campus chapter of Baptist Ministry.

Executive Team Open Positions:

President
The President is in charge of contacting all Executive Team members, calling meetings, setting agendas, and staying in contact with all members. The President also relates to the Representative Advisement Council and convenes their meetings.

​In addition, the President is responsible for creating and sending the meeting agenda to the Secretary prior to each general body meeting. The President is also responsible for meeting in person or virtually with each campus’s student leadership group once a semester.

In relation to collaborating with the Vice Presidents, the President is responsible for taking the shared meeting agendas and notes from each Vice President and condensing them into a shareable document that can be sent to the full Executive Team.

Expectations of the President include being in attendance at every meeting, unless there is an excusable reason. An excused absence of the President must be communicated at least 48 hours in advance or as soon as possible given the reason.

As a member of the Executive Team, he/she must conduct themselves in a Christ-like manner that positively represents this organization and its members.

In relation to holding a position at the local chapter, the Executive Team President will not be allowed to hold either the President or Vice President position, or an equivalent position, in their local campus chapter.

Secretary
The secretary is responsible for the following tasks: obtaining the general meeting agenda from the President prior to any general body meeting to understand what must be discussed.

During the general body Executive Team meetings, the secretary is responsible for taking meeting minutes and notes, and ensuring the meeting follows the goals set forth in the meeting agenda. If something is not discussed in a meeting, the secretary is responsible for noting what was not discussed and should communicate with the President to ensure the missed topic(s) appear on the next general body Executive Team's meeting agenda. If a certain topic can not wait, the secretary is responsible for informing the necessary Vice Presidents that they should hold an additional meeting to complete any unfinished business.

Once the Executive Team meeting concludes, the secretary is also responsible for sending full and complete meeting minutes and notes out to every Executive Team member and the Advisor in a timely manner.

As a member of the Executive Team, he/she must conduct themselves in a Christ-like manner that positively represents this organization and its members.

Treasurer
The treasurer is responsible for keeping up with any income and expenditures related to state leadership collegiate initiatives. These include financial matters related to the annual Mid Winter Retreat, associated mission opportunities, and any other events organized by the state level Executive Team.
The treasurer is also responsible for overseeing any funds raised via fundraisers.

As a member of the Executive Team, he/she must conduct themselves in a Christ-like manner that positively represents this organization and its members.

The treasurer is not required to attend every general body Executive Team meeting. However, the treasurer must attend any meeting where financial information needs to be discussed (upcoming fundraiser/Results of fundraiser, Fees for MidWinter, etc) and is required to communicate this among the Executive Team leadership at the next upcoming Executive Team Meeting.

Vice President for Service Engagement
The Vice President of Service Engagement is responsible for communicating with all campuses in order to gather ideas and develop a single missions theme for each semester or school year in order to unite the campus ministries under a shared idea. This can take place through a poll that is sent out to each ministry chapter or any other method deemed appropriate. From there, the service leader is responsible for leading the service engagement committee to develop and execute a single missions theme for the semester or year.

The Vice President of Service Engagement is also responsible for staying in contact with each campus in order to gather a summary and/or individual experiences based on various mission projects completed.

Finally, the Vice President of Service Engagement is to report the experiences from mission projects to the Public Relations Leader in order to have these stories shared with the CBF community.

Vice President for Public Relations
The Vice President for Public Relations is responsible for being in contact with a member of CBFNC, who is in charge of their own newsletter/social media, with the goal of ensuring collegiate stories are regularly shared to the larger CBFNC network.

The Vice President for Public Relations will also be expected to communicate with the Vice President of Service Engagement and the Vice President of Spiritual Formation to solicit materials that will be published by CBFNC.

The Vice President for Public Relations will be responsible for maintaining, and contributing to, CBFNC State Collegiate Ministry social media. As a member of the Executive Team, he/she must conduct themselves in a Christ-like manner that positively represents this organization and its members.

Vice President for Spiritual Formation
The Vice President for Spiritual Formation is responsible for developing a specific section for the CBFNC newsletters titled “Worship Moments,” that highlights spiritual moments in various campus chapter groups across the state. These can include: prayer requests, praises, and even what students have learned from being involved in their local campus chapter. Additionally, they can include any content deemed appropriate by the spiritual formation committee.

The Vice President for Spiritual Formation is responsible for contacting each local chapter to collect this information at least twice throughout the semester (At the beginning and at the conclusion) and reporting the information and/or writings to the Vice President of Public Relations.

As a member of the Executive Team, he/she must conduct themselves in a Christ-like manner that positively represents this organization and its members.

Vice President for Issue Engagement
The Vice President for Issue Engagement is responsible for prompting discussions at Executive Team meetings (as necessary) to discuss specific issues and social injustices that they deem in need of response from the Executive Team.

The Vice President for Issue Engagement is also responsible for staying in communication with CBFNC to ask for guidance and direction on how to manage these issues.

As a member of the Executive Team, he/she must conduct themselves in a Christ-like manner that positively represents this organization and its members.

Vice President for Alumni Relations
Vice President for Alumni Relations is tasked with staying in contact with students who have previously been a part of any CBSF, BSF, BSU, BCM, or related organization within North Carolina.

The Vice President for Alumni Relations is responsible for creating and maintaining a list of alumni who are interested in staying connected. This list shall include contact information such as a reachable phone number, email and/or social media information.
The Vice President for Alumni Relations is to directly send the current CBFNC newsletter to each alumni and remain in contact with the alumni who wish to contribute to the newsletter.

As a member of the Executive Team, he/she must conduct themselves in a Christ-like manner that positively represents this organization and its members.

Vice President for Graduate Student Initiatives
The Vice President for Graduate Student Initiatives is tasked with coordinating graduate student efforts and initiatives across the state.
​
The Vice President for Graduate Student Initiatives must be a graduated, or soon to graduate, college student. Seniors in their final semester are eligible to apply. 
 
As a member of the Executive Team, he/she must conduct themselves in a Christ-like manner that positively represents this organization and its members.

CBFNC State Leadership Taskforce

The State Leadership Taskforce is a team of students established to form the new State Leadership Executive Team positions, Constitution, and Committees. The members of this Taskforce are:
